Testimonial #26: Lying sales people (as usual)

Two days ago I went to get a replacement on a monitor that I had bought four weeks prior with a PRP. When I bought the monitor the sales clerk told me that even though the product was an open item that with the PRP it would be replaced if it was found defective. Well when I brought it to Best Buy the manager told me that it couldn't be replaced because I bought it opened with a discount and offered me a voucher. I said, NO your sales associate told me that it would be replaced... I was pissed and asked him to show me where it said that he could just give me a voucher and not replace the product. He did. I should have read the policy before I purchased it, but I trusted the employee

When I came home I was pissed and found your website. I and a friend were so enraged by the testamonials and other instances that Best Buy has lied to us or our family. We decided then it would be our mission to bring the downfall of a corporation that encourages lying among their employees. On Monday morning, today, we went to the Best Buy, brought an open item monitor up to a sales associate and asked them that if we bought the PRP would it replace the item were it defective. She lied to me. So my friend and I had earlier printed up fliers to pass our in front of Best Buy, and we protested. We protested there for about a half hour before the police escorted us off of the property and told us that we would have to protest on the sidewalk.

After very short consideration we have decided to do the best that we can to stage a mass protest, but we need help. We can do the best that we can to get people to protest at the Torrance, California store, but our goals are much bigger that than. First we want to start an association termed Consumers Against Best Buy (C.A.B.B, I wish it were a cooler acronym). We want to do many many things to best buy--all legal--and we wish to participate with your website. We would like you to spread the news of what we want to do and help us accomplish it--that is, if you're up to it.
