Testimonial #74: PSP covers EVERYTHING for computers...except that.
Ok this happened about a year ago. I go into best buy, attempting to find a model of computer I wanted. I had it in mind. I ask a sales rep where I can find it, and he takes me there. The model computer was quoted at 3 diffrent stores for $100 less, but Best Buy had a $50 2 year warrenty that came with it that the other stores didn't. So I decided to buy from Best Buy. Then, when I ask the sales rep what the warrenty covers, he says everything that could EVER happen to the computer (sound familier?) So I bought the computer from Best Buy. I Took it home, and it worked for 5 months. Then, one morning, I start it up, and it won't boot up correctly. I take it back to Best Buy, and they said that they needed to send it back to the company for it to be repaired, and I wouldn't get it back for 3 weeks. I waited around for 2 weeks with no response, so I decided to call Best Buy. They said that the motherboard was dented and looked like someone had been beating on it. They said for it to be fixed, I'd have to pay $400 over the original cost of the computer. I was royally pissed at this point. I told them that their employee had told me that the warrenty covered ANYTHING that could happen to it. I protested this to Best Buy and the Better Business Burreu for 3 months, and got no where. So I decided never to shop at best buy again. They'll be losing thousands iof dollars a year that I will use to shop at Circuit City.
