Testimonial #86: Best Buy sucks, and forces most employees to as well.
Hi, I just wanted drop you guys a line to let you know that I think you are doing a great thing here. That being said - I once worked at a Best Buy and was even a Sales Supervisor for two (2) departments. I read a lot of complaints that have validity, but some are situations where the customer might have made a mistake or handled something the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong, I disciplined and fired my fair share of employees for misrepresenting the service plan, but I also did my fair share of apologizing and fixing those situations. The gentleman who had a problem with the sub-woofer would never have received that kind of treatment at my store. They would have promptly found the employee who sold it, question him, and proceeded in replacing it in the store. The store can send that back as a DEVO piece and get full credit from JBL. I guess in the end what I’m saying here is; just because you had a bad experience at one Best Buy, don’t misconstrue that to think that everyone Best Buy store or employee is the same way. Granted, I have left the store because the management does in fact suck and you can have no real future at a store like that, but some of the guys I worked with are honest, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The corporate machine that is Best Buy does suck, but not all of the people do. Thanks for a great site where people can come to vent and not feel alone.
