Testimonial #9: Bob learns what you get with the PSP.

I purchased a, Hewlett-Packard @ Best buy here in, Phoenix, Az. I took it in to them for service, thinking it was under warranty. In fact, I even purchased their extended warranty. I was told my problems were software not hardware problems. And of course not covered under warranty. Now the "Dog & Pony " show begins. Over a period of about 10 days, 6 different so called technicians worked on it.

They would call me and tell me it was fixed and I could come and pick it up. You have no idea how upset I was when I got it home and it performed as poorly as when I first took it in. Like an idiot I took it back in ..... Anyway they did the exact same thing, assured me it was now working. The re-occuring problem was, it would shut down after about 5 to 7 minutes. Anyway, after letting them screw me around for about 10 days and almost $200.00 I took it to a small independent computer shop.

Your not going to believe this ! I know I didn't !!!! With in 20 minutes, the real technician had the cover off and saw that the cooling fan was not running at all. Hence, heat build up, hence, shut down time, as the computer is designed to do when the fan is not running. How can Best Buy's technicians all be incompetent ? And how can I be so stupid.

Yes I considered writing letters of protest and demand a refund. But .......... In todays world, would I reach anyone that would actually give a damn ? I sincerely doubt it ! Instead I will just never buy from them again and forever bad mouth them. In fact I've already cost them 4 major sales and I find gratification in that.... Thank you for this opportunity...
