Testimonial #95: Off-site employee drama costs poor guy his job

A friend of mine told me about your site and I think you might be a little intrested in my story. Best Buy in Merced, awww my first job, I was so excited. I figured this place was going to be so awesome, they bulit up so much hype into working there. While I'm standing in the lobby of the place we are having our orientation and I'm meeting my seniors and I knew one of them. She was a girl who I have a police report against for terrorist acts and planing to cause bodily harm. So she comes up to me and says hi pretending not to know who I am. I didn't shake her hand I just simply told her I knew who she was. Jump ahead a week. We are in the store, setting it up. They gave me a talzon, I was not supposed to let it out of my site. Well we were told to go to lunch and we did and when I got back someone else had it. I asked this other employee for it back and she asked me if I was gonig to cry about it. I told her no and walked away. She got up and told the senior about it. The senior pulled me to the side and and asked me why in her words would I "Throw a fit like a baby would over something as simple as that" I Told her i walked off from the whole issue and she didn't believe me and she then told me that if i didn't stop harrassing the other emp. she was going to write me up. That pissed me off so I went to my sup. My sup. was of no help at all. She just brushed it off. The senior is the same one I had the report againt. A few employee's asked me why she was so hard on me and didn't like me and why I didn't like her. I said she had threatened me in a parking lot at the college. That was it all I said. 2 days later I get pulled into Admin. with the Senior and my Sup who could care less. She (senior) asked me why i would say hurtful things against her to other emps. She doesnt understand it. I explain to her that I only said i had filed a police report against her and that was it. She said she didn't even understand why I did that i explained to her what had happened that night and all the things she had said to me along with her friend. She sat there and bold faced lied to me in front of our Sup that it was her friend that was saying all those things and not her and that she was trying to get her to stop. I told her that was a load of crap because I was there and when things like that happen to a person they tend to remember. In the end I said sorry and that I wouldn't say anything else at work. She then brought our sup into the convo. This sup had the nerve to tell me that yes i had heard the wrong person that it was not my senior who said the hurtful things and that I had better go to the police station a take my statement back. I told her that what happened happened she has no control over it and she told me if i kept talking like that I would get written up. Senceing a pattern here? So a few months go by without problem. I got along awesome with my fellow emps. We hung out a few times. One night the night of the final straw, I go to a party drink a little and a girl I work with shows up, her brother works with us he is also a little girly. I asked this girl if her brother was gay, a male who we also work with agreed with me and pushed it more so then I did, she said no and i said sorry if i offened her and that was the end of it. She left about 15 minutes later. the next day i was really sick, and no not from drinking, i had had surgery about 3 weeks before this had happened. I go to work, i'm still sick as hell and I ask to go home. the Sup from hell tells me the i have to sell to mags subs in order to go home, so i do and ask again, she tells me to sell two more and i can go home, and i do like a good little girl, ask again and am told the same thing until i have sold 8 mag subs and am already into 45 minutes over time. They said that was on a roll and that they didn't want to send me home just yet. I sold one an hour for the whole 8 hours I was there. Do you call that a roll? back to the other thing. So a week goes by, I work with her and her brother no problems. She shuns me a bit at work i said sorry again, not at all mentioning what happened, except shes the one who said that i shouldnt of asked if he was gay and that was the end of it. So like I said a few days go by and I get pulled into the office yea thats right by the bitch of a sup, oh wait i fogot one thing now shes not the sup shes the manager. So i'm in the office, she looks at me and tells me to tell her why i called in sick. I told her that it was complacations to my surgery and that had really nothing to do with her. Then she tells me to tell her what happened at the party on saturday night. I told her that it was none of her damn business what I do on my personal time. She looked at me and said that I had offened someone at this party and that I had clearly brought it back to work and that I was going to be written up for it, I asked her if the other people at this party were going to have the same thing happen to them and she said no. So I got written up for something I said at a party. I was pissed off so I asked if i could put in my two weeks notice and I did and when i wrote the reasons why, being treated like a child being forced to stay at work when i was sick and a few other choice reasons. Plus I was about to get hired at a great place, anyway, she reads these things and has the nerve to say " I feel like you are directing these things towards me" I was like yes I am because you are the cause of a lot of these problems. I got up and walked out. The next day I got hired @ applebees, the day after that when i got to work at best buy they pulled me into the office my Ex Sup the new manager had called that morning and told them to deal with me. I was let go the morning. So this is my story publish it if you want, I just hope that telling you this doesn't go waste. Always, Thank god im outta there
